Pros and Cons of Homeschooling
Pros of Homeschooling |
---
• The children can be supported specifically
• The children will be taught individually (responding to the child will be improved because of that)
• The children aren't exposed to mobbing etc.
• The children can be better prepared for life
Cons of Homeschooling |
---
• It's possible that the education gets too much one-sided (or even not at all) concerning religious, political and social things
• The contact to other children/schoolmates is missing
• The children maybe aren't prepared for life adequately
• The children shouldn't get preserved from the life outside
Surely, there are many more opinions and arguments in each case; and without a doubt, Home-Schooling is a difficult subject... as well concerning its realization "simply teaching children by oneself" is definitely not the right way Certain proofs of the 'learning success' have to be produced and, moreover, a 'competent' person has to take on the teaching.
A better way is an 'alliance' of parents which then found private schools where they can give their children education. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford such a private school, so that this way is only left to children with prosperous parents.
Many parents would have the potential to run a 'Home-School'. Why not making it possible for those people to teach their children the way they want to?
As to that, this calls for an urgent political action!
