Homeschooling in germany

Germany is one of a few countries with compulsory education, that means parents risk a punishment if they don't send their children to school. Exceptions are only made for seriously ill persons or children from which it can't be expected to visit school.

So Germany unfortunately is very backward at the field of Homeschooling. As to that, the neighbouring countries are considerably more liberal and up-to-date. The attempt to sue the right of Homeschooling probably won't be successful. Homeschooling simply isn't welcome in Germany. A constitutional state seizes the education of its young citizens...

Apart from that, the topic tends to be hushed up; it's an unpleasant thing for our „outdated“ educational system. The readiness to follow a new way is desirable to be competitive on the world market.
